Meet Your Instructors!
Chief Instructor Pilot - CFI/CFII/MEI
Warren was lucky enough to have a neighbor take him flying at the age of 15, and to continue his flying career now for nearly 50 years. With a grocery store job he was able to afford training for a private pilot license at age 16. Warren has flown everything from Piper Aerostars, SW-4 Metroliners, DC-9s, and eventually flew MD-80s at Muse Air which was bought by Southwest Airlines. Warren retired after 20 years at SWA, but the calling of aviation came back with instructing and flying charters. Warren has been with Flying Tigers since 2010, and became Chief Instructor in 2015. Warren flies a Learjet 60XR in a part 135 charter operation for American Jet International at Hobby.

Jay has been flying for more than 30 years. He began flying as a hobby, but quickly discovered he was able to effectively manage construction projects across the United States by flying to job sites when the opportunity allowed. Jay decided to share his love of flying with others and completed CFI, CFII, AGI and IGI certifications. Jay enjoys teaching safe “old school" and "new school” technologies to students seeking to complete private, commercial and instrument ratings. In his time away from the airport he enjoys outdoor activities that include snow skiing, scuba diving and biking.
Flying has been Johnathan's lifelong passion. He made his first flight as a junior at Sterling High School for Aeronautics, eventually attending the San Jacinto school for Aviation, earning all of his ratings from private all the way to multi engine flight instructor. There are two great joys Johnathan has as an instructor: sharing the joy of a student’s first solo, the excitement when a student passes their check ride.
